Slide 1

Slide notes: In this tutorial we consider the External Stock Catalogue. The External Catalogue is in addition to the Stock Catalogue and it is optional whether to use it. The purpose of this Catalogue is to include Items that we do not Stock, but that we can source from a Supplier if need be. In other words, the External Catalogue, as an example, can include thousands of Items that are available from our Suppliers and if a Customer is looking for such an Item, then we can search this Catalogue and if necessary, transfer it to a new Stock Item to be opened in the main Stock Catalogue.

Slide notes: Here we can see that the fields on the External Catalogue are not as extensive as in the Main Catalogue, but provide the detail necessary to locate an Item and learn some detail about it when we need to. The Fields are also mostly optional and we can just fill the ones we want to.
