The operation of the
Menu Tree starts when a User enters a Data Mart. In each Data Mart a User
may be given Access to one or more Applications. For Example: Ledger Payroll Purchasing All of these would be
Applications. |
When a User is given
Access to an Application, then of course in that Application the User should
be given Access to one or more Actions. For Example: File Maintenance Enquiries Reports Now these Actions can be
found in multiple Applications. They simply represent a
Menu Action Path. |
And of course for each
Action within an Application that a User is given Access to, a User should
get one or more Options, because a User will Select Application, Action,
Option. Examples of Options
would be the Final Processes that the User may be able to open. For example if we say we
choose: Ledger then we choose File maintenance and the Options may include
things like - Open New Accounts
Maintain Accounts etc. |
So in fact the Menu Tree
is very easy to understand. First the User will
Select an Application, then an Action, then an Option. So in an example we
could say as Application we Select Ledger. As Action we Select File
Maintenance. As Option we Select Open new Account. |
